Day 5 - Nanchang - WE HAVE HER

We got to Nanchang around 2:15pm Beijing time. Straight to the Civil Affairs Office. She was not happy for a long time. She is not sure yet about these new faces. But, she sleeps finally, after much, much crying. So much more to come, but here's what you want. She is beautiful, and appears to have been well taken care of.

We are busy trying to get air conditioning fixed in our hotel rooms. I am recovering from a minor pass-out episode a while ago, but we are good. And we promise the full story later. We will have tons of photos and video.

Thank you for praying, for thinking of us, for your messages.

We can't even think of what to say! We are so overwhelmed with joy for you guys! Ahna is absolutely beautiful. How special. I think we were the first to see the blog post ;-). Grace waved hello to her sis. Okay, we decided you should cut your trip short and get her back to us sooner. Kidding. Have a great time!

all our love from all of us...

Blessed is the only word I can think of right now. She is absolutely adorable. The boys look so proud to have their new addition also. You don't have to worry one little bit, she has her own team of warriors. Team Simmons! I am so happy for you all. Bill....sorry you were sick and hope you are better. I can't imagine NO AIR! I will forever remember these photos. Thanks for taking us along. Love to all 6 of you!!

I tried to stay up long enough to see you post, but alas, sleepiness took over so here I am the AM looking at the beautiful face of Ahna! Crying is good! :) Hope she is eating for you and sleeping. We are all sending our "hello's" and hugs to all, especially little Ahna. Emma sends kisses to her new friend too. Sorry you had to suffer the heat with no AC and some brief illness. Praying for good health for all!! More photos!!! :)

We went to bed about 11 pm (EST)last night, and I was doing the calculations in my head. I couldn't wait to get up and check the blog this morning....she is indescribably beautiful (and so are you, Cindi, in that first picture of you together!). We'll be praying you safely home.

I cannot really add to all that has already been posted, but I too praise the Lord with you for your beautiful dear daughter! May He continue to give you the strength to finish the adventure. It will be so nice to just be home as a family! :0)
