In the words from the cartoon that most of us once loved to watch, "Good grief, Charlie Brown!!"
It was an unintentional blog hiatus... it all started with a trip out of town, then settling back in, then simply life itself.. Ya'll know (that's the Southern girl coming out in me:-) what I'm talking about.
Thank you for your patience in waiting for PART 3 of the saga! One thing I am learning about this bloggy world: when writing something long, in sections, I should probably actually write it all before I begin to post. But, oh well. I am a student here, a Freshman, the new kid on the block who has just moved in and doesn't yet know the ropes. I am not blog-savvy yet, nor am I blog-confident.
I can't get over how kind and gracious your comments have been.... via the blog and via personal email. Thank you so much. It is confirmation for me that though I may not know WHAT I want this blog to be, I DO want it to BE.
If you decide to leave a comment, please do tell what YOUR blog routine is. I haven't quite found mine yet. Does it take you a long time to post? Or can you write and publish something in 10 minutes? If you don't post on a blog, but just read, when do you work it into your day?
And by the way, I am looking forward to catching up on your blogs over the next few days. Not only have I been on a hiatus from posting, but from reading blogs, as well.
Oh, and one more thing: my sweet blog friend Lisa at The Long Road to China has bestowed upon me my first blog award! How fun!
THE DIAMOND AWARD!!
I consider it a great compliment. I am not sure yet, what I am to do with my diamonds, or whether I am to pass them on to others, but I will do my research and do the right thing! I guess there are rules that go along with receiving awards in bloggy world?
Thank you, Lisa. It has been a pleasure to get to know you through your blog, as you await your next great treasure.
And finally, thank you all for reading.
Have a really great weekend!

Well, it's not Part 3 but this will do. I know you have been busy, we sooooo enjoyed when you were home. Ahna is such a gift to all of our family. Me along with many others that have said "when is your sister gonna post Part 3?" are ANXIOUSLY awaiting. We have more time to read than you do to write, and we have no pressure. Can't wait :-) Talk to ya this weekend!!
Christy
Hi Cindi....glad you are back! I was starting to wonder where you were....hope you had a wonderful trip!!
I typically write my posts at night after everyone is in bed....it is much easier when there are no distractions! Depending on the topic at hand, it can take 10 minutes to an hour....as you know, so of my recent entries have been a little long and I have had to dig a little deep into my soul...those take me much longer to publish:)
As for your award....I am not a rule follower...do what you wish with your diamonds....if you feel you would like to pass them, do so, if not...that is fine too. You deserve them...your blog is an inspiration and I always look forward to reading your entries!
Can't wait for Part 3!
Have a wonderful day!
Lisa
I'm just glad that you all are okay...as days wnet by, I began to be concerned something had gone wrong! Whew!
I don't really have a blog routine yet. My blog was started to keep family and friends updated on our high risk pregnancy, and once I began to realize what a great tool and photo album it was, I continued once Seth was born.
I'm trying to be better about posting everyday. I (once upon a time) was (am?) a writer -- my degrees are in English Lit and Journalism, and I'm ashamed that I'm not putting out more "content." I need to get back to the days of putting pen to paper (or digit to key, as the case may be) and making something from my heart and mind come alive.
I want my family to look back on this blog some day and see more than "Seth pooped 4 times on August 10." I'm getting there.
I usually post first thing in the morning when I get to work.
Congrats on your diamonds, Cindi!
Wow I am impressed with the Diamonds but think they are well deserved!!! Well I just did start a blog and I couldn't even get a background up on my own I had to have my daughter Amber, Snapshots of Life being her beautiful blog, do it for me!!! I don't even have a first post up yet and feel like I have spent a lot of time on it, but a schedule, Cindi, seriously, you have 4 children,I say anytime you can steal away for some quiet moments to yourself or tell the boys, play with your sister for a little while, it's obvious how much they enjoy her! We all understand as we anxiously await part 3 ;0)
Told you that you had a gift for writing!! Diamonds, nice! :) As for blogging, it has been weeks since I blogged last, mostly due to the fact that I don't have any new photos downloaded to add and my girls are the savvy ones! I did not know you were still blogging, even with all that is going on in your lives!! You are to be commended.
Looking forward to the 3rd part of the story. :)
Hi Cindi!
I'm glad you're back! And I'll just echo what everyone else said...take your time! 4 kids. I can't even imagine. You are my hero :)
Blogging is hard. I've found that when I share the more personal stuff, I have to write, edit, rewrite, read, rewrite. It all takes a very long time for me. Then I post and have to reread again and even end up changing more stuff. I also find on the days that I'm planning on sharing more that it takes me a bit to work up to actually doing it.
The other days, the updating about the adoption, or sharing cool finds, or new music usually go pretty fast. I guess there's just not as much at stake.
You do have an incredible gift for writing and deserve all the praise that any of us can throw at you. When I'm reading your account of meeting Ahna, I feel like I'm there with you, with my heart caught in my throat and tears in my eyes. It's really incredible and beautiful.
Hi Cindi -- I've been checking on you too for part 3. I figured that you are busy! Adding a new member to the family is an adjustment for everyone and takes time.
Sometimes I write blog posts very quickly and others take a while. I try to work on them in the evening, but once in a while will do one on my lunch hour. There are so many wonderful blogs to read. Congrats on the Diamond award. You are a fabulous writer and I am thrilled to be able to follow your journey! Have a good weekend.
Janet
Well, I know you tried to post by the weekend, we all know you are gifted with words but you cannot control the weather or your electricity. Hopefully you will have power soon. As if you need something else to recover from, "more loads of laundry that got piled up". Oh well, no worries, it will be there when you get to it. All jokes aside, I hope you get your electricity back soon. Tell the clan we said HELLO!!
Talk soon,
Christy, Lukas, & Landon
Glad to know you are still here....and I'll keep checking for part 3! :)
I like to blog during naptime, or after the kids bedtime...it's still hard! And I usually don't write much, just like to post pics for friends and family to see the kids. It's funny, I love to read everyone's blogs, but always wonder if I make a post too long, would anyone really care to read it anyway?! Strange, I know.
Anyway, can't wait to read part 3, and hope you are all ok and have electricity soon (?)
Becki
Hi. I emailed you about updating your blog. Did you receive my email?
Hope you have electricity now, we are all anxiously awaiting part 3. Maybe when the laundry is done, the floors are swept, the bottles are fixed, the groceries are bought and so on and so on, you can get to us LOL
Thanks so much for sharing,
Christel
I have been following your blog for some time now. We live in the same area and attend WCCN in West Chester. I don't have a blog routine, I just fit it in when I can. You have done an awesome job!!! I love your blog. Mine is http://parentingourchildren.blogspot.com
